New-build gardens cleared, prepared and turfed in Newcastle
From Great Park to the estates west of the city, we turn bare new-build plots into finished lawns. Paving only if you want it.

New homes around Newcastle
Most of the city's new housing sits on its edges: Great Park to the north, and a string of developments out west towards Westerhope, Callerton and Newburn. There are smaller infill schemes closer in too, from Gosforth and Kenton across to Walker on the riverside.
Gardens on these estates range from compact courtyard-style plots behind townhouses to wider family lawns on detached homes. Whatever the size, the starting point is usually the same: bare, firm ground that needs clearing and preparing before turf goes down.
Ground and access in the city
The soil underneath
Much of Tyneside sits on heavy, clay-rich ground that holds water. Loosening the compacted surface and adding a decent layer of topsoil gives new roots something to grow into and helps rain soak away.
Getting to the back garden
Many newer townhouses have no side path, so the only way through is the garage or the house. Tell us how your garden is reached, and about any parking limits on your street, so the day can be planned around it.

FAQs
Questions about your new garden
Do you cover Newcastle Great Park?
Yes. Great Park is one of the biggest areas of new homes in the city, and its gardens are a typical example of the plots we prepare and turf.
My townhouse has no side access. Is that a problem?
Not usually. Let us know on the form if the only way to the back is through the garage or the house, so we can plan the work properly.
